Overview

At CableCom, LLC, the Laborer on our Telecom Underground team participates in all phases of underground construction, including loading, delivery, digging, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
• Install underground telecommunications cabling
• Operate construction equipment and maintain work areas
• Communicate clearly with all team members
• Complete daily production reports
• Assist with site restoration efforts
• Work in all weather conditions
• Perform basic daily vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Valid State driver’s license (not provisional) with an acceptable driving record
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Preferred: prior experience safely operating hand tools and utility trucks

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces, and sometimes alone in remote locations; operate vehicle and heavy machinery; perform tasks requiring squeezing, fine hand motion, bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55 pounds without assistance.
• Occasionally use ladder, keyboard, and mouse.

Wage Range

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
