Job summary

Star Construction, LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial in Winchester, KY to support an aerial telecom crew with installation and maintenance of fiber/telecom cables and materials.

The role involves loading tools, driving and operating equipment, flagging traffic per DOT guidelines, and performing duties in all weather conditions. Minimum age is 18, with legal work status in the US and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• To be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
