Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. in Tallahassee, FL seeks a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew with installation and maintenance of fiber and telecom cables and materials.

You will provide tools and parts to crew members, move equipment, tag and notify residents about construction, and work in all weather.

Qualifications include 18+, U.S. work authorization, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, CDL A preferred, and willingness to become a pole climber.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• CDL Class A preferred but not required.
• Pole climber certification or willingness to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• CDL Class A license preferred, but not required
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
