Job summary

C-2 Utility Contractors, LLC is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial in Salem, OR to support an Aerial Telecom Crew with installation and maintenance of fiber/telecom cables and materials. This field, hourly role requires providing tools, moving equipment, and assisting with safety measures daily.

You’ll operate in all weather, assist with traffic control, and help with stock, loading, and on-site readiness. A valid license and willingness to certify as needed are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified
• Prior labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll do

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company

• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
