Job summary

Star Construction LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew with the installation and maintenance of fiber/telecom cables and materials. You will provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members, reposition equipment, and ensure proper door-tagging and resident notifications before work begins.

The role requires physical stamina and willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the United States for the company.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience required.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable record; pro provisional not accepted.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Move bucket trucks, trailers and equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications are completed before work each day.
• Stock, clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging with shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and be on-call as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

18+ years old

Authorization to work in US

Valid driver’s license

Pole climber certification

Telecommunications labor experience a+

What You’ll Do

• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
