Job summary

Trawick Construction Company, LLC, is hiring an entry-level Laborer Telecom Aerial in Live Oak, FL. You’ll support an Aerial Telecom Crew with installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables and materials, following safety and DOT guidelines.

Responsibilities include providing tools to crew, moving equipment, tagging sites, and maintaining vehicles and gear. Willingness to work overtime and travel is required; physical work in all weather is expected.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the United States for the company.
• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willingness to become certified.
• Prior labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tags and resident notifications are completed before work starts.
• Stock, clean, and maintain company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging with shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow per local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and be on-call as needed.
• Perform duties in all weather conditions.

What you’ll do

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
