Job summary

Total-Western, Inc. in Sparks, NV is hiring a Laborer Skilled – Journeyman to support multiple trades on industrial and commercial sites.

You will operate light equipment, assist carpenters, welders and fitters, and help maintain a safe, productive jobsite. The role requires at least four years of labor experience, OSHA safety awareness, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; preferred OSHA 30 and forklift/telehandler certification.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction safety and basic OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Material Management: Load, unload, and distribute materials and tools to crews as needed.
• Site Maintenance: Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.

Position Overview:

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of four (4) years of industrial or construction labor experience.

Demonstrated skill in supporting multiple trades and operating construction tools and light equipment.

Knowledge of construction safety and basic OSHA standards.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Preferred Experience:

OSHA 30-Hour Certification.

Forklift and telehandler operator certifications.

Experience working in refineries, power plants, or large industrial facilities.

Work performed at industrial and construction job sites, often outdoors or in confined spaces. Must adhere to safety standards and wear required PPE at all times.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Labor Foreman or Project Superintendent. May assist in mentoring apprentices or new hires.

Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and project scope, in accordance with Nevada law.
