Base pay range: $14.99/hr - $14.99/hr

Position Details

Temporary Laboratory Assistant, Grade 10, paying $14.99/hr. Looking for candidates with a strong science background or students enrolled in a science program. Responsibilities include: Water sample collection, inorganic bench testing for potable and non-potable water, reagent preparation, source water micro-testing, general cleaning, autoclaving assistance, data entry in Excel, participation in summer Cyanobacteria and Lake monitoring programs, and assisting with lead and copper bottle delivery.

General Duties

Performs manual labor contributing to public works and civic projects. Examples include asphalt removal and repair, constructing retaining walls, trench digging, surface grading, equipment operation, storm water management, landscaping, cleaning and maintaining city structures, and assisting with construction tasks. Provides training to new employees as needed.

Qualifications
  • High School graduation or GED
  • Some experience in landscaping or construction, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
