LABORER (SEAS/TEMP) WTP LABORATORY ASSISTANT - WATER WORKS

Position Details

This is a temporary, internship-level position with a pay range of $14.99/hr, designed for candidates with a strong science background or students enrolled in a science program.

Responsibilities
  • Water sample collection and inorganic bench testing for potable and non-potable water.
  • Reagent preparation and source water micro-testing.
  • Data entry in Excel and participation in monitoring programs.
  • Assisting with autoclaving, lead and copper bottle delivery, and general lab support.
Additional Duties

Support public works projects, perform manual labor tasks such as asphalt repair, trenching, landscaping, and maintenance of city structures. Specific tasks include:

  • Removing asphalt, grading and repairing roadbeds, sealing infrastructures, constructing retaining walls, and installing pipes.
  • Maintaining city rights-of-way, stormwater inlets, and cleaning city structures and facilities.
  • Assisting with street markings, construction area cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Some experience in landscaping or construction preferred, or equivalent training/experience.
