Job summary

Congruex is seeking a Laborer to support construction crews with manual labor tasks and underground utility and telecommunications construction activities. You will help prepare materials, assist equipment operators, and support field activities to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and MVR review.
• Experience in underground utility or telecommunications construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily jobsite safety meetings and crew huddles.
• Operate tamping machines and assist with equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Load, unload, organize, and prepare jobsite materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with trench excavation, conduit placement, potholing, shoring, backfilling, and other underground construction activities.
• Assist with structure installation, concrete placement, asphalt preparation, and related restoration activities.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites and follow safety requirements.
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.

Job Summary

As the Laborer, you will support construction crews by performing manual labor tasks and assisting with underground utility and telecommunications construction activities. You will help maintain safe and organized job sites, prepare materials, assist equipment operators, and support field activities to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. Your customers are Congruex field construction teams and clients, and you will contribute to company success through safe operations, teamwork, productivity, and quality project support.

Key Responsibilities (Including, But Not Limited To)

• Attend and participate in daily jobsite safety meetings and crew huddles
• Operate tamping machines and assist with equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Load, unload, organize, and prepare jobsite materials, tools, and equipment

Required Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass required pre-employment drug screening and MVR review

Experience

• Basic knowledge of construction or utility work preferred; training provided
• Experience in underground utility or telecommunications construction is a plus

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a crew environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to follow established safety procedures and policies
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Reliable transportation to assigned jobsites

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in underground utility or telecommunications construction
• CDL license
• Experience operating small construction equipment and hand tools

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to perform manual labor and repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and work in physically demanding positions
• Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions and around construction equipment and active work zones
• Ability to safely perform job duties while wearing required personal protective equipment
• Adequate vision or use of corrective lenses to safely perform required job duties
