Job description

General Summary

Under the supervision of the Recycling Supervisor, the Recycling worker salvages materials and prepares for recycling by transferring, sorting recyclable plastics, using bailers, policing the grounds, and maintaining a clean work area. Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age‑specific needs of the individuals served.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Experience

No Prior Experience or Training Required.

Ability to read a limited number of two‑ and three‑syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to use the time‑card system.
