Job description

TRP Construction Group, LLC, with locations in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, is a rapidly growing striping company with career advancement opportunities. TRP is seeking a Pavement Marking Laborer to join our highway striping team and share our core values of increasing road safety for the traveling public and delivering the highest level of precision and excellence. TRP Construction Group, LLC will conduct Background Checks, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and Controlled Substance testing prior to hire.

Responsibilities:

1. Complete equipment and vehicle repair reports (filled out by crew members).
2. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with DOT and quality guidelines.
3. Maintain vehicles in working order (spray systems and/or other truck-mounted equipment) and ensure they are properly loaded daily; keep vehicles clean inside and out.
4. Fill out pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms accurately.
5. Maximize production on the job site.
6. Be trained and capable of operating and maintaining at least six different pieces of equipment.

Experience (Preferred but not required):

1. Operate the following vehicles/equipment: hand machines, forklift, hand grinder, 3M hand-tape machine, 3M adhesive applicator, and hand-roller tamper cart.
2. Install preformed thermo/hot tape.

Qualifications:

1. Maintain company standards for background checks (criminal record, driving record, and controlled substance/drug testing).
2. Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
3. Perform simple arithmetic functions.
4. Wear and maintain proper safety equipment for each job.
5. Stay updated with the latest technology and adapt accordingly.
6. Use smartphones and applications effectively.
7. Adjust to changing work schedules.
8. Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

1. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
2. Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
3. Be exposed to outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, traffic, fumes, and airborne particles.
4. Work environment noise level is usually moderate to loud.

Availability:

1. Two shifts: Monday – Friday and Sunday-Thursday.
2. Willingness to work some nights, weekends, overtime, and travel as necessary.
