Job summary

EMERALD COAST STRIPING LLC in Town of Florida, NY is hiring for Laborer/Operator. You will perform pavement marking tasks, driving and operating Thermoplastic Trucks, Paint Trucks, and TMA Trucks, with training and oversight.

You will load/unload materials, operate a variety of vehicles and equipment, install Preformed Thermo, and follow all safety policies. Overnight travel may be required with stipends provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR) required.
• Willingness to travel overnight may be required (Stipends/Per Diems provided).
• CDL A or B license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate pavement marking equipment including Thermoplastic Trucks, Paint Trucks, and TMA Trucks.
• Load and unload materials by hand and forklift.
• Operate large and small vehicles and related equipment (hand machines, forklift, grinder, tape machine, adhesive applicator, roller tamper cart).
• Install preformed thermo markings and follow safety policies.

$17/hr-$19/hr commensurate with experience (and CDL license)

In our Laborer/Operator positions, the following duties will be performed:

Duties

• With training and oversight provided, you will performing all duties related to the pavement marking process Including but not limited to driving and operating of Thermoplastic Trucks, Paint Trucks, TMA Trucks, and other Pavement Marking equipment.


• Properly load and unload materials from trucks and trailers by hand and forklift


• Operate large and small vehicles


• Effectively Operate the following Vehicles/Equipment: hand machines, fork lift, hand grinder, 3M hand-tape machine, 3M adhesive applicator and hand-roller tamper cart.


• Install Preformed Thermo


• Follow all Safety Policies and Procedures


• All other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Regularly required to stand/walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop; and kneel, crouch or crawl


• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


• Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds


• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving equipment and machinery parts; moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles


• Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate/loud

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License and Clean MVR

Travel

• Overnight travel can be required and can extend up to a week, with little to no notice. (Stipends/Per Diems provided by company)


• You may be asked to work around the state of Florida, not just in the Plant City and surrounding areas.
