Job summary

Emerald Coast Striping LLC is seeking a Laborer/Operator to join the team in Florida. The role includes operating Thermoplastic, Paint, and TMA trucks to perform pavement marking tasks with on-the-job training and safety oversight.

You will load/unload materials, handle heavy equipment, and travel domestically (overnight travel possible with stipends). CDL A or B is a plus and a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean MVR.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• CDL A or B is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate pavement marking equipment and vehicles as trained.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers manually and with a forklift.
• Drive and operate Thermoplastic, Paint, and TMA trucks as assigned.
• Install Preformed Thermo and other marking materials.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

$17/hr-$19/hr commensurate with experience (and CDL license)

In our Laborer/Operator positions, the following duties will be performed:

Duties

With training and oversight provided, you will performing all duties related to the pavement marking process Including but not limited to driving and operating of Thermoplastic Trucks, Paint Trucks, TMA Trucks, and other Pavement Marking equipment.

• Properly load and unload materials from trucks and trailers by hand and forklift
• Operate large and small vehicles
• Effectively Operate the following Vehicles/Equipment: hand machines, fork lift, hand grinder, 3M hand-tape machine, 3M adhesive applicator and hand-roller tamper cart.
• Install Preformed Thermo
• Follow all Safety Policies and Procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Regularly required to stand/walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop; and kneel, crouch or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving equipment and machinery parts; moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles
• Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate/loud

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License and Clean MVR

Travel

• Overnight travel can be required and can extend up to a week, with little to no notice. (Stipends/Per Diems provided by company)
• You may be asked to work around the state of Florida, not just in the Plant City and surrounding areas.
