Job summary

West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill a Laborer Operator position. Laborer Operators perform a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work, and operate a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair and maintenance of township parks, cemeteries, roads and facilities. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm.

The starting wage is $23.90/hr. Prior training and experience may be considered for starting pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License is required.
• CDL Class A or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire (we will pay for CDL).

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment in maintenance of parks, cemeteries, roads and facilities.
• Perform unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work as needed.
• Support snow removal or other emergency duty 24/7 as required.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License
• Class A State of Ohio Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire. We will pay for your CDL!

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the maintenance and repair of roads, storm pipes, and curbs
• Experience working in public parks, maintaining landscaping, and mowing
• Experience operating snow removal and landscaping equipment
