Job summary

Cando Rail & Terminals Ltd. is seeking Laborers to perform safe loading, unloading, and securement of products to railcars at our Du Bois, PA location. This on-site role suits those who enjoy outdoor work, physical activity, and a teamwork-focused safety culture.

You will operate or move equipment in yards and shops, help maintain inventory, and assist with varied maintenance tasks while adhering to safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

• Safety-conscious with ability to work in different environments.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to climb into and out of cab multiple times per shift.
• Lift up to 50 pounds while connecting hoses to trailers.
• Mechanically inclined, comfortable with liquids and air pressures.
• Open to working 40 to 60 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Operate or move equipment around the yard and shop.
• Help maintain inventory of supplies and/or shop equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Flexibility to work on various shop, maintenance, and yard tasks.

Laborers with Cando are responsible for performing the safe and efficient loading, unloading and securement of product to railcars. Working in a customer-oriented environment, the Laborer must work well in teams to maximize efficiency while demonstrating a strong initiative and safety focus.

• Operate or move equipment around the yard and shop.

• Flexibility and ability to work on various shop, maintenance, and yard tasks.
• Attend communication meetings and safety training as scheduled.
