Job summary

Cando Rail & Terminals in Du Bois, PA is seeking Laborers to safely load, unload and secure product to railcars. You will work outdoors, in a team, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires physical effort, willingness to work 40–60 hours weekly, and the ability to operate yard equipment, maintain a clean workspace, and participate in safety trainings.

Qualifications

• Safety conscious with safe work practices in varied environments.
• Reads, writes, speaks, and understands English.
• Climbs into/out of cab multiple times per shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds while connecting hoses to trailers.
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable with liquids and air pressures.
• Willing to work 40–60 hours per week.

• Help maintain inventory of supplies and/or shop equipment.

Laborers with Cando are responsible for performing the safe and efficient loading, unloading and securement of product to railcars. Working in a customer-oriented environment, the Laborer must work well in teams to maximize efficiency while demonstrating a strong initiative and safety focus.

• Operate or move equipment around the yard and shop.
• Help maintain inventory of supplies and/or shop equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Flexibility and ability to work on various shop, maintenance, and yard tasks.
• Attend communication meetings and safety training as scheduled.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Safety consciousness and understanding of safe work practices for operating in different environments.

Education & Experience
