Job description

This position is located at: Fort Campbell, Golf Course

This is a "Flexible" position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans at this time.

Duties

1. Operate large, complex riding lawn mower (e.g., multiple and independently controlled cutting decks) and/or specially designed riding mowers to mow in areas requiring attention to space and environment.
2. Equipment characteristics include single function performance and components that are independently controlled through various hydraulic and/or mechanical devises.
3. Perform tasks requiring significant manual skill, very heavy physical effort, and detailed procedures (preparing ground for sod, flowers, and shrubs) following drawings and specifications while utilizing a knowledge of project requirements.
4. Cut cups for hole locations. Clean up trash and debris.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position.
• Must be able to work during the hours of operation, including weekends, nights, and holidays, and support for special events and programs.
• Work indoors and outdoors; may be exposed to adverse weather conditions.
• Exposed to drafts, noise, dust, and dirt; possibility of bruises, muscle strains, cuts, and scrapes.
• Follow safety procedures and use standard safety equipment such as gloves, ear protectors, and safety glasses; exercise proper handling of equipment to avoid injury.
• Require frequent lifting and moving of equipment weighing over 50 pounds.
• Operate large, riding mowers on grades and in areas with obstacles, requiring significant maneuvering and level control.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks, including a National Agency Check (NACI).

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements are:

• Demonstrated work experience that includes the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position.
• Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc., and to use and maintain tools and equipment.

Highly Qualified candidates will have the following:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience working with a turf grass team.
• Previous work experience on golf courses.
