The Laborer supports field operations by performing a wide range of construction related tasks including general cleaning, site preparation, installation and maintenance of protection, debris removal, and providing on site assistance as needed. This role requires working in both active construction sites and occupied luxury residences around Manhattan. The Laborer ensures the site remains clean, organized, and safe while assisting trades and contributing to the efficient flow of work. Basic use of hand tools, equipment, and protection materials is required.
The Laborer is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The work may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and humidity. Noise levels on job sites can be loud. This role regularly works near moving mechanical equipment and in active construction environments that may include exposure to dust, asphalt, and uneven surfaces.
The physical demands of this position include lifting heavy objects, standing and walking for extended periods, and performing strenuous manual labor in challenging field conditions. The role requires the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry materials; use abdominal and lower back muscles for sustained physical effort; and move quickly when necessary. Strong manual dexterity and coordination across multiple limbs are essential. The Laborer must have excellent stamina and the ability to safely maneuver within an active construction environment.
