Position Summary

Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties. Perform tasks that require physical labor at construction sites and have the ability to perform a variety of duties.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

1. Assist craftsman in setting up work as required.
2. Follow instructions given by superintendents, foremen, and other experienced crew members.
3. Perform all duties with a focus on safety.
4. Keep work areas clean and organized.
5. Read and understand warning signs, operating instructions, safety rules, and policies.
6. Observe equipment and systems to identify hazards.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience preferred.
2. Strong knowledge and skills relevant to the position.
3. Ability to understand, follow, and communicate instructions effectively.
4. Proficient in the safe use of electrical, hand, power, and layout tools, as well as measurement tools.

Requirements

1. Ability to move about construction sites, including standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, and crawling.
2. Work in outdoor weather conditions.
3. Work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays.
4. Climb ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical platforms up to 200 feet.
5. Work in confined, cluttered, and uneven spaces.
6. Complete tasks in noisy and dusty environments.
7. Lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
8. Possess required tools and possibly a driver's license.
9. Comply with safety and project rules.
10. Pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
