Job summary

A leading utility construction firm is seeking Laborers for their Telecom program in Elkhart, Indiana. Responsibilities include assisting in underground utility construction, operating power equipment, and participating in safety meetings. Candidates should be able to lift heavy objects and must hold a valid driver's license. Previous labor experience in utilities is preferred but not required. This position requires availability for overtime on weekdays and/or weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, reach, dig and carry heavy objects; frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, infrequent up to 100 lbs.
• Must wear all required personal safety equipment.
• Pre-Employment Drug Testing.

Henkels & McCoy currently seeking Laborer(s) for our Telecom program in Indiana.

Current work locations are: Elkhart, Valparaiso, Lafayette, Kokomo, Marion.

Responsibilities

• Broom/Shovel work assisting crew in underground utility construction.
• Assist crew members in trenching, digging, pulling, and removing material.
• Operate power equipment for demolition, concrete removal, grading, truck/dumpster loading, site clean‑up and other general tasks using company and/or rental equipment.
• Monitor and maintain condition of company equipment.
• Loads and unload trucks and haul/hoist materials.
• Participate in daily job briefing and safety meetings.

Qualifications
