Louisiana Bridge Builders(“LBB”) is design ing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and ap proaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

Position Purpose/Summary

The Laborer II – Equipment is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by performing general physical labor on Project site including but not limited to loading/unloading materials, site cleanup, and assisting skilled trades.

Location

This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction project site by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Lubricate and clean machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Load or unload materials to be used during construction.
• Erect and disassemble temporary structures.
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction.
• Operate power tools and hand tools.
• Assist skilled traders, such as electricians and carpenters, with their duties.
• Perform all tasks efficiently and safely.
• Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Laborer II – Equipment position requires working knowledge, skills, and abilities as they relate to the position along with 2+ years of construction labor/helper experience. Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
