Job summary

Louisiana Bridge Builders in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a Bulldozer Operator II to support site grading, clearing, and earth moving for the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge project. You will operate heavy machinery, perform pre-shift inspections, coordinate with crew, and help ensure work meets blueprints and safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years of machine experience and a preference for NCCER certification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience operating construction equipment.
• NCCER Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to complete tasks such as grading, leveling, clearing debris, digging trenches, and pushing materials.
• Shape terrain, move earth, rocks, and rubble according to blueprints and plans.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections.

Full Time Operatives Westlake, LA, US

Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is design ing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and ap proaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY

The Bulldozer Operator II is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by operating heavy machinery to push earth and materials to grade land or clear areas for the Project.

LOCATION

This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate machinery to complete tasks such as grading, leveling, clearing debris, digging trenches, and pushing materials.
• Shape terrain, move large volumes of earth, rocks, and rubble according to blueprints and construction plans.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections.
• Perform basic routine operator maintenance, lubrication, and fueling of equipment.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals.
• Operate machinery to perform tasks efficiently and safely.
• Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

At a minimum, the Bulldozer Operator II must have 3+ years of relevant, proven, experience operating construction equipment. National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Certification is preferred.
