THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CURRENT B CDL DRIVER'S LICENSE AND DOT CARD. AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.

Proof of Licenses
Applicants are required to submit proof of their drivers' license at time of application. Preferred Qualifications
Site Maintenance (Seeding, mowing, erosion control etc.)
Class A CDL with an Air Brake Endorsement
Current work experience operating a large dual wheel, single axle dump truck that includes performing manual labor tasks.
Age Requirements
Non-Maryland residents must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment.
EXAMINATION PROCEDURE
Qualified applicants will be assigned a rating based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as submitted on their application and supplemental questionnaire. Applicants are advised to state the dates, duties and responsibilities of past and present experience clearly and completely for evaluation purposes.
All applicants who meet the minimum qualifications may be required to demonstrate their ability to operate a large dual wheel, single axle dump truck.
Employees in this classification may be required to work overtime with little or no advance notice. Some positions may be designated as Emergency/Essential.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
The work of this classification entails the performance of heavy physical labor including, bending, stooping, lifting and carrying heavy objects, and the operation of vehicles, tools, and heavy equipment. Some work requires exposure to potentially hazardous conditions such as standing in traffic, working in trenches, and adverse weather.
Medical Examination and Employment Background Investigation
Applicants selected for employment with Baltimore County must successfully complete a physical examination, drug screening and employment investigation, including, but not limited to a criminal background, education certification and fingerprint checks.
