Job summary

Transco Railway Products, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Laborer to support railcar repair efforts in a TEAM environment. You will repair metal parts per layouts and blueprints, assisted by a crew, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The role requires reading drawings, handling tools, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You will work in all weather conditions and contribute to a high-performance maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Lift up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a teamwork environment with regular attendance.

Job Description

We are looking for an Entry-Level Laborer to provide support to by performing basic repairs. You will repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches. You will assist with performing a variety of rail car repair related tasks and working in a TEAM environment, establishing good working relationships at all levels.

Wage

Wage: $22.50 + 3.00 Shift Differential = $25.50

Job Requirements

Use a variety of tools and equipment such as pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches, forklifts, and cranes. Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints. The ability to work in adverse weather conditions. The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. The ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics. Ability to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance. Keep materials area and other work areas clean and orderly and report potential hazards. Able to pass drug screen, physical.

Pay Range

Pay Range: 22.95 - 28.05
