POSITION TITLE: Laborer I

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

BEGINNING DATE: Open Until Filled

NATURE OF WORK:

An employee in this class assists higher level employees in a variety of routine and repetitive manual tasks. Any problem or situation encountered that is out of the ordinary is referred to a supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Ability to lift moderate to heavy weight (80-100 pounds), stand, walk, run, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, climb ladders and work on scaffolding, for extended periods of time.
• Ability and physical strength sufficient to move heavy objects.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to obtain a CDL permit within 6 months and CDL license within 1 year of hire.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• High school diploma
• Some experience performing manual tasks preferred

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months

SALARY: Salary Grade 50

POSITION TYPE: Full-time
