Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Laborer to join its Operations team on a Culpeper, VA project. This full-time role focuses on preparing the site, supporting safety teams, and moving materials while assisting carpenters and handling deliveries.

Ideal candidates have a year of construction experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to lift heavy loads. The job requires physical stamina, agility, and readiness for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of construction experience.
• Understanding of safety and general construction knowledge.
• Provide primary support to our field supervision.
• Be able to use critical thinking to solve issues on the worksite.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Must be agile/mobile, stand or walk for long periods, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb ladders/scaffolds.
• Read/write and have good vision and hearing either naturally or with correction.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing 50–100 lbs., 75% of the time.

• Understanding of safety and general construction knowledge.
• Provide primary support to our field supervision.
• Be able to use critical thinking to solve issues on the worksite.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
• Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.

Preferred:

• Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
• Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
