Kilgore, a Summit Materials company, is looking for a Groundman Laborer in our Aggregate division. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting production operations by performing work required to maintain the consistent operation of plant and equipment.

  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on plant and equipment using water hoses and shovels.
  • Perform general labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays.
  • Repair crushers, including liner changes, oil systems, and operations; monitor and change worn parts.
  • Perform basic plant preventative maintenance.
  • Cross-train with other positions to maximize abilities within the team.

Skills & Experience

  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • MSHA certification preferred.
