Job description

Kilgore, a Summit Materials company, is looking for Groundman Laborers in our Aggregate division. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting production operations by performing work required to maintain the consistent operation of plant and equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Maintain good housekeeping practices on plant and equipment using water hoses and shovels.
  2. Perform general labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays.
  4. Repair crushers, including liner changes, oil systems, and operations; monitor and replace worn parts.
  5. Perform basic plant preventative maintenance.
  6. Cross-train with other positions to maximize abilities within the team.
  7. Operate skid steers.
Skills & Experience
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • MSHA certification preferred.
  • Previous quarry/mining experience preferred.
