Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking Laborer – Haul Coordinator for any of the North, Texas construction projects. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us.

The laborers will help support the project and crew with various tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance of Safety Policies & Procedures
  • Quality Control
  • Production
  • Provides support to crew, including but not limited to:
  • Assist in the receiving and dispatching JWS orders to Plant Foreman, Haul Department, and Hot Mix Foreman
  • Provide on-site logistics support to HMAC Crews
  • Coordinate transportation with CDL Drivers
  • Scheduling drivers to be on-site as required by HMAC leadership
  • Guiding of asphalt trucks, etc.
  • Participation as a vital team member, contributing towards Austin’s success
  • Participate in daily safety meetings
  • Work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs; days, nights and weekends
  • Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • To perform the duties of the job one must be able to talk, see, hear, and have use of their fingers.
  • Must be able to frequently perform the following physical activities: standing for sustained periods of time, reaching, grabbing, pushing, pulling, balancing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and stooping.
  • Must be able to occasionally perform the following physical activities: climbing and sitting.
  • Must be able to on rarer occasions perform the following physical activities: crawling.
  • Must be able to manage stress on a constant basis while on the job.
  • Must be able to frequently perform calculations while on the job.
  • Must be able to occasionally use reading, comprehension, reasoning, and analytical skills while on the jobs.
  • On the job the employee-owner will constantly be exposed to outdoor environmental conditions, navigate around moving machinery, and work on and around uneven or unstable surfaces.
  • On the job the employee-owner will frequently work in varying light conditions, be exposed to loud noise, be subject to marked changes in temperature and/or humidity, and work in crowded areas.
  • On the job the employee-owner will occasionally work on narrow surfaces and on rarer occasions be exposed to non-toxic dust, fumes & gases and enter confined quarters.
