Job summary

PCSI - Professional Contract Services, Inc. is seeking a Laborer Grounds Maintenance at Fort Hood to perform a range of grounds maintenance tasks in support of the contract.

You will assist in planning, layout and minor repairs, perform routine grounds work, and help keep grounds equipment maintained. The role requires passing security-related screenings and being able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

PCSI is looking for Laborer grounds Maintenance on Ft. Hood. This position performs a variety of ground maintenance functions in a variety of skilled and semi-skilled craft trads to support assigned contract.

What You'll Do As a Laborer Grounds Maintenance

• Perform a variety of grounds maintenance functions in a variety of skilled and semi-skilled craft trades to support assigned contract.
• Assist in the planning, layout and completion of modifications and repairs.
• Assist in the accomplishment of minor grounds maintenance tasks which must be performed to proficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of grounds equipment.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of prior experience in grounds keeping or landscaping preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to climb, bend, squat, lift and carry objects ranging from 10-60 pounds; Occasionally push objects up to 100 pounds; prolong walking up to 90%.
• Knowledge of methods used in grounds keeping, including use of all types of lawn equipment.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• Ability to demonstrate accuracy and speed in work performed.
• Ability to read, understand, and complete incoming work orders.
• Ability to understand and follow policies, procedures and regulations as needed.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in written format.
• Ability to work as a team member and develop effective working relationships with other staff and clients.

Other Requirements

• Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
• Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
• Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
• Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
• If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
