Job summary

Miller Pipeline is hiring Laborers to support our gas distribution pipeline crews on projects across the region. You will assist with repair, maintenance, construction, installation and fusion of plastic pipe, and help recondition gas distribution pipelines.

The role requires a strong work ethic and teamwork; candidates should have 1 year of outdoor labor experience and be prepared to undergo a DOT physical and operator qualifications testing. On-the-job safety training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.
• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer's operator qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.

Miller Pipeline is looking to add hardworking Laborers to work on our gas distribution pipeline crews. Duties include assisting in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe, and in the reconditioning of gas distribution pipelines.
