Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment for tasks such as loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
  • Checks, verifies and documents the proper and safe operation of plant machinery and systems, and report problems to appropriate supervisors on a timely basis (e.g. daily and weekly).
  • Checks and makes necessary adjustments to appropriate equipment (e.g. temperatures, pressure, water and oil levels, motor belts, chains, tank levels, leaks of any kind, equipment rotation, sump levels, etc.)
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, removing debris and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintains material handling systems including the transporting and stocking ash bunkers.
  • Will assist in sampling incoming material for yield percentages, documentation of loads, reporting yield findings to the QA/QC superintendent.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in preparation for other shifts.
  • Take immediate action on any safety hazards and report them directly to the appropriate supervisors on a timely basis.

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
