Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a construction electrician helper to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems at jobsites, while keeping the site safe and organized.

You will travel to different jobsites as needed, follow safety policies, and assist in assembling electrical components. Competitive hourly pay and benefits apply.

Must have a high school diploma or GED; prior electrical or construction labor experience is preferred; a strong safety mindset is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience in construction and/or training or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
• Prior experience in electrical or construction labor is preferred
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
• Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems

• Support in the assembly of electrical components and equipment
• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs
• Provide assistance on the site as needed

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent(GED) or one to three months of related experience in construction and/or training or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
• Prior experience in electrical or construction labor is preferred

Working Environment:

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and extreme heat
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
