Job summary

VCI Construction is seeking an Entry-Level Laborer Drops I for our telecom team in Henderson, NV. You will support installation and maintenance of telecom drop services, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining clean job sites.

The role requires OSHA 10, a valid Nevada driver’s license, and the ability to pass drug screenings. You should be 18+, with 2+ years of related experience and a collaborative, safety-conscious mindset.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or equivalent required.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2+ years of experience in telecom construction or related tasks.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screening.
• Strong ability to work independently and in team environments.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, and moving construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Cleaning and preparing job sites before, during, and after work activities.
• Digging trenches, backfilling holes, and basic excavation work.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Site maintenance and housekeeping to keep work areas organized.
• Report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or job-site concerns to supervisors.
• Perform other duties assigned by foreman or superintendent.

AtVCI Construction, as a Laborer Drops I on our Telecom team, you’ll participate in supporting the installation and maintenance of telecom drop services connecting the network infrastructure to residential and commercial customer locations.

What you’ll do

• Loading, unloading, and moving construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Cleaning and preparing job sites before, during, and after work activities.

What you’ll need

• Ability to work safely in all weather conditions
• Effective communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks, is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds

Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
