Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC. is seeking a Laborer Drops I to support our telecom team in Henderson, NV. You will load, unload, and move materials, prepare sites, and assist with digging trenches and basic excavations while following PPE and safety protocols.

Applicants must have OSHA 10, a valid Nevada driver's license with a clean record, and at least 2 years of telecom construction experience. Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are required, with a capability to work in all weather

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Clean and prepare job sites before, during, and after work activities.
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, and perform basic excavation work.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Conduct basic site maintenance and housekeeping.
• Report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or job-site concerns to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by foreman or superintendent.

AtVCI Construction, as a Laborer Drops I on our Telecom team, you’ll participate in supporting the installation and maintenance of telecom drop services connecting the network infrastructure to residential and commercial customer locations.

What you’ll do

Loading, unloading, and moving construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Cleaning and preparing job sites before, during, and after work activities.

Digging trenches, backfilling holes, and performing basic excavation work.

Follow safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Conducting basic site maintenance and housekeeping to keep work areas organized.

Reporting safety hazards, damaged equipment, or job-site concerns to supervisors.

Performing other duties assigned by the foreman or superintendent.

What you’ll need

OSHA 10 - Required

Valid Nevada Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. - Required

Be at least 18 years of age

2+ years of experience in telecommunication construction, operating equipment, utility trucks, or performing similar tasks.

Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screening.

Strong ability to work independently and contribute in team environments

Ability to work safely in all weather conditions

Effective communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks, is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds

Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
