Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision.
• Dig trenches and perform earthmoving tasks with basic equipment.
• Load/unload materials, ensure proper handling and storage.
• Maintain a clean, organized work site and dispose of debris properly.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE per requirements.
• Set up scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures as directed.
• Prepare sites and restore areas (gravel spreading, vegetation clearing).
• Communicate progress and issues with supervisors.

Job Overview

The Laborer Dominion will perform a variety of manual tasks to support construction and maintenance activities for Primoris Services Corporation projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., pipefitters, electricians, carpenters) with their tasks, including carrying materials, preparing work areas, and cleaning up debris.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and perform other earthmoving tasks using shovels, picks, and other equipment.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including disposing of waste and debris appropriately.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, barricades, and other temporary structures as directed.
• Perform site preparation and restoration duties, such as clearing vegetation, spreading gravel, and landscaping.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and foremen regarding daily tasks and project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work progress and potential issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a construction or manual labor role is an asset.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and construction equipment is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on project needs.
