Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a warehouse laborer for our Kamco Supply location in Brooklyn, NY. The role focuses on organizing and maintaining the warehouse and assisting drivers on site, with physical tasks including lifting and bending.

Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, knowledge of board sizes and materials, and basic math skills. The role is on-site with potential overtime and a mix of indoor/outdoor work.

Position Purpose

The primary function of a laborer to organize and maintain the warehouse to keep it safe and satisfactory, in addition to assisting the drivers on premises when needed.

This position requires occasional travel; less than 10%.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain standing 90%. Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly working outside.

Working Conditions

A combination of indoor and outdoor work; including warehouses, job sites, customer locations, and delivery areas.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License
• Demonstrated knowledge of various board sizes and manufactures, mud types, and steel types

Work Location

On site reporting to a location with a combination of indoor and outdoor work; including warehouses, job sites, customer locations, and delivery areas. The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $16.00 to $22.80 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs.
