Job description

The Crane Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment on job sites. This role performs daily crane inspections, rigging, and operational checks while working closely with ground crews, riggers, and project supervisors to ensure loads are transported accurately and securely. The Crane Operator must maintain a strong commitment to safety, situational awareness, and compliance with all applicable state, local, and federal regulations.Key Responsibilities:Conduct daily crane inspections and operational safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.Safely operate cranes to lift, transport, and position materials and equipment.Work closely with riggers, ground crews, and project supervisors to coordinate lifts.Perform proper rigging and ensure loads are secured and balanced before lifting.Calculate lift capacities, monitor load weights, and assess wind and weather conditions.Maintain constant awareness of job site conditions and potential safety hazards.Maintain all required crane operator certifications and comply with applicable safety regulations.Follow company policies, OSHA requirements, and all state, local, and federal regulations.
