Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc in Marietta, GA is seeking a Laborer-Construction to support field operations, follow safety procedures, and perform general labor tasks on active job sites. Out-of-town travel and overtime may be required, and the team emphasizes safety and teamwork.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift heavy loads, a valid driver's license, and willingness to train 6–8 weeks away.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License with good driving record and own transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical & drug screen.
  • Must successfully pass criminal background check for ATF
  • Must be willing to travel to northern divisions for 6-8 weeks for training (paid)
  • Experience with construction laborer helpful, but not necessary
  • Ability to learn and develop skills to later perform higher level tasks

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies
  • Submit the following records to Blaster/Foreman on a weekly basis: Accurate and Signed Time Card
  • Learn safety aspects of working construction sites and around explosives
  • Take direction and perform construction laboring activities
  • Work unsupervised occasionally
  • Pum p blast holes dry with water pump
  • Load and unload explosives from truck
  • Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes
  • Maintain clean and organized job site
  • Participate in monthly Foreman, safety and job meetings as needed
  • Participate in daily safety meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

LABORER-CONSTRUCTION

Ability to perform job specific instruction provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators. Individuals must be safety-minded and able to work well in varying weather environments. Out of town travel and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities:

Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position
  • Position requires proficiency to work at a steady pace on uneven and loose surfaces outside
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 5% of time
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, 50% of the time
  • Stooping and bending 60 – 70% of the time
Pay:

18$-20$ per hour plus $150/week vehicle/travel allowance.
