Job summary

Pepper Construction is seeking a Laborer to support the construction site with a wide range of tasks, including loading, moving materials, assisting carpenters, and building temporary protections. Qualifications

• Relevant experience in commercial construction preferred.
• OSHA 10, preferred.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and ability to multi-task.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, may include overtime, weekends, and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the construction site.
• Move materials to or from storage or work sites.
• Driving equipment as needed.
• Selective demolition, concrete placement or flagging.
• Proficient in stacking and assembling materials into bundles.
• Making simple repairs and adjustments to machinery or trucks.
• Work independently and with little direction.
• Have initiative to find work activities when waiting for next task directive.
• Assist Carpenter’s general partition layout, framing, sheet rock installation and other rough and finish carpentry work as assigned.
• Build temporary protection including barricades, visqueen, floor protection, etc.
• General clean-up including vacuuming, sweeping, and rubbish removal.
• Selective demolition of non-load bearing walls, ceilings, and flooring material and clean up of all demolition debris.
• Other duties as assigned
