RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a Laborer you may perform any combination of tasks to assist on the construction site. This position performs a wide variety of duties and tasks that often require you to assist other trades people including carpenters.
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials from within or near the construction site from pallets, skids, trucks, or other locations.
- Move materials to or from storage or work sites.
- Driving equipment as needed.
- Selective demolition, concrete placement or flagging.
- Proficient in stacking and assembling materials into bundles.
- Making simple repairs and adjustments to machinery or trucks.
- Work independently and with little direction.
- Have initiative to find work activities when waiting for next task directive.
- Assist Carpenter's general partition layout, framing, sheet rock installation and other rough and finish carpentry work as assigned.
- Build temporary protection including barricades, visqueen, floor protection, etc.
- General clean‑up including vacuuming, sweeping, and rubbish removal.
- Selective demolition of non‑load‑bearing walls, ceilings, and flooring material and clean up of all demolition debris.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant experience in commercial construction, preferred.
- OSHA 10, preferred.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and ability to multi‑task.
- Task‑oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, may include some overtime, weekends, and night shifts.
