Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Craft Helper to assist the on-site crew with maintenance and construction tasks. You will work under supervision, transporting tools and materials, and using basic hand tools to support the craft. Safety awareness and the ability to pass screenings are required as part of employment.

The role involves handling tools and equipment, following safety protocols, and performing additional duties as directed by supervision to ensure smooth operations on site.

Qualifications

• Must have over three (3) years of maintenance/turnaround/construction/ or mechanical experience and knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must pass Craft Helper proficiency testing at or above 70%.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen and will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing during employment.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions from supervision and assist crew in construction duties.
• Furnish tools and materials for others in their crew.
• Work with various hand tools and operate limited equipment.
• Understand the roles and responsibilities of the craft being supported.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions to eliminate or minimize hazards.

Summary: Take direction from a skilled worker or foreman to assist crew in construction duties. Performs any combination of following tasks to receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• To work well with supervision.
• Furnish tools and materials for others in their crew.
• Work with various hand tools.
• Operate limited types of equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of roles and responsibilities of the craft being supported.
• Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
• Perform all other job related duties as requested by supervision.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
