Job Description

SCF Lewis and Clark Terminals is seeking a Laborer for our cargo terminals in Granite City, IL. In this position, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to support daily operations at our rail, truck, and barge terminals.

What you'll be doing:
  • Carrying, dragging, and pulling wires, lines, and railcar door opener equipment
  • Working alongside the river and in the cargo holds of barges during loading and unloading
  • Assisting in crane signaling operations for lifting and moving cargo during daily stevedoring activities
  • Shoveling and sweeping while railcars or trucks unload products
  • Sledgehammering railcars

Pay

$19.45 per hour

Additional Information

Candidates must:

  • Possess a High School diploma or GED
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work daily
  • Pass a post-offer process including background check, drug screening, and physical
  • Be able to walk and lift for extended periods
  • Carry more than fifty pounds regularly unassisted
  • Read and write English to meet USCG regulatory requirements
