The Laborer will perform general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor. Responsibilities include all phases of underground construction, such as loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various construction materials and equipment.

What you'll do...

• Dig using hand shovels and mechanical tools
• Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling
• Climb in and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
• Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery
• Work in congested or remote areas
• Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and all moving or stationary persons, vehicles, or objects to ensure safe coordination
• Perform general construction work under the direction of Foreman/Supervisor
• Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies

Who we are looking for...

• You are at least 18 years old
• You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
• You have a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License
• You have basic knowledge of and ability to operate various utility trucks and equipment safely
• You have basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment safely
• You may have experience in utility construction
• You may have the ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify underground utilities
• You can communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• You can lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance
• You can work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call
• You can maintain a safe work environment
• You can work in all weather conditions
