The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking individuals for a position focused on emergency roadway response and maintenance. Responsibilities include operating equipment for snow and ice removal, performing traffic control, and participating in manual labor tasks. This role requires knowledge of safety policies and the ability to work in various weather conditions, making it essential for maintaining road safety and efficiency.

VDOT is an emergency response agency, and this position is the core of this requirement, therefore you will work outside of normal work hours during emergency operations.
Minimum Qualifications
You may be minimally qualified if you have :

Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel independently among assigned work locations is required.

THIS IS AN HOURLY / WAGE POSITION AND IS NOT ENTITLED TO STATE BENEFITS PACKAGE AND IS LIMITED TO NO MORE THAN 1500 HOURS IN A 12-MONTH PERIOD.
