Job Summary

Performs various general labor tasks in a pit, quarry, or at a preparation plant. Work shifts are rotating and vary with business hours, under direct supervision. The role involves interfacing with operations daily and requires accurate, timely work, as every activity is crucial for overall operation.

Job Responsibilities

• Shovel muck, stone, gravel, sand around conveyors
• Shovel material onto conveyors
• Maintain cleanliness in the pit, plant, office, and quarry facilities
• Use high-pressure water hoses for cleaning
• Dig and maintain drainage ditches
• Assist mechanics and skilled personnel with parts, material, and equipment movement
• Support scheduled maintenance and repairs
• Assist with cleaning parts, materials, and equipment
• Work overtime as required
• Operate mobile and plant equipment as needed
• Follow all safety regulations and wear proper safety equipment

Qualifications

• At least 30 days of prior experience or training
• Ability to perform emergency rescues

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to follow routines and maintain performance standards
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
• Proper operation of equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and basic math skills
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
