Job summary

A&A Concrete Supply, Inc. is seeking a Laborer in Yuba City, CA. The role requires performing a variety of tasks to support conveyor systems, perform inspections, and maintain safety standards on site. A valid driver’s license is required and benefits include PTO, 401k, and overtime pay.

Laborers will work in a physically demanding, safety-conscious environment, using equipment and performing housekeeping tasks to keep the site compliant with MSHA, CALOSHA and EPA standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to operate basic maintenance on equipment.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete area inspections and report via daily form to Foreman or Site Manager.
• Monitor and maintain conveyor system.
• Shovel and remove debris from conveyor system.
• Grease and lube pulleys, rollers, and frames.
• Splice and patch belting as needed.
• Operate equipment like skid steer, forklift, or dump truck as needed.
• Inspect equipment before shifts for safety and environmental issues.
• Assist in replacing motors and bearings.
• Maintain cleanliness and report defects to Foreman and Site Manager.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, CALOSHA, and EPA standards.

The Laborer performs a variety of tasks as per this job description and as assigned. The laborer must ensure to complete all assigned tasks in a safe manner and in compliance with the organization's safety guidelines and requirements.

Essential Functions

• Complete area inspections and report by completing the daily plant expecting form and turn into the Foreman and/or Site Manager.
• Monitor and maintain conveyor system.
• Shovel and remove debris from conveyor system.

• Operate support equipment such as a skid steer, forklift, man lift and / or dump truck to aid in completion of tasks.
• Inspect equipment prior to shift for safety, environmental and maintenance defects by completing the daily plant expecting form and turn into the Foreman and site Manager.
• Assist in replacing motors, idlers, pulleys, v-belts, couplings, bearings, gear boxes, etc.
• Monitor ground conditions in area you are maintaining
• Complete Daily pre/ post / shift inspections - report as needed to Foreman and Site Manager.
• Maintain adequate cleanliness of equipment- report any defects to Foreman and Site Manager.
• Monitor environmental compliance (dust) of area.
• Inspect wear items on equipment & report as needed to Foreman and Site Manager.
• Perform housekeeping (clean, shovel, remove trash and debris) to ensure a safe, clean and complaint operation. Ensure site remains compliant with all MSHA, CALOSHA and EPA standards.
• Other duties as outlined by Foreman and/or Site Manager.

Work Environment

• Able to work in wet and dry conditions and extreme heat and cold
