Job description

Performs laborer duties in support of the Redstone Arsenal Installation Support Services contract, including loading, unloading, and moving materials, assisting other craftsmen, and maintaining work areas.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks, containers, and operates conveyances such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, or wheelbarrows to move supplies and materials to designated locations.

• Stacks materials for storage or binning, collects reusable, recyclable, or disposable materials, and assists in salvaging materials.

• Moves, collects, and arranges various types of materials, office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances.

• Assists other craftsmen with their daily duties as needed.

• Cleans work areas, equipment, and tools through sweeping, washing, or moving barrels and bins.

• Performs heavy manual tasks, including lifting up to 80 pounds, loading/unloading trucks, operating jackhammers, etc.

• Supports safety initiatives by participating in safety training and adhering to safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment.

• Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Follows all safety and health regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests as required.

• Willingness to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if required.

• Ability and willingness to work in inclement weather and lift at least 50 pounds.

• U.S. citizenship.

• Ability to obtain security clearance up to SECRET or pass a National Agency Check.
