Job summary

cmsllc is seeking a Laborer to support daily construction site operations. You will help dig, move earth and materials, and operate basic hand and power tools to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

The role requires physical strength, reliability, and a valid driver’s license. You may travel to remote sites; benefits include health and dental insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to concentrate on tasks for extended periods.
  • The ability to understand and communicate information.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to do basic math
  • Must be able to safely operate hand and power tools. Prior experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lift heavy loads up to and exceeding 70 pounds.
  • Identify utility lines.
  • Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site.
  • Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew which requires standing in one place for long periods of time.
  • Backfill trenches and pit when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.
  • Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt dirt and concrete.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Remove and properly dispose of debris and waste materials.
  • Travel to work on remote job sites as directed by management.
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Job Purpose:

The Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site. The Laborer is responsible for operating heavy machinery to dig, move, and grade earth or materials, ensuring construction, mining, or infrastructure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Lift heavy loads up to and exceeding 70 pounds.
  • Identify utility lines.
  • Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site.
  • Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew which requires standing in one place for long periods of time.
